Our vacation plan was as such - go up to Boston with the family + anders, Kat and their kids to see Troels run his triathlon, and after the weekend we'd go to the catskills where we rented a little cabin in the mountains.
And technically, we did all of this. Except for that I hurt my knee in Boston 10 minutes after we arrived at the hotel room, spent the whole night in the ER, and ended up with crutches for the rest of the vacation. Needless to say, I didn't take many pictures at all.
But luckily, midway through our car trip to Boston, Troels had the brilliant idea to stop at an orchard so the kids could stretch their legs and we could all do something fun. And really, we had a blast. For me it was the highlight of the trip - and not because it was the only thing I did ;)
The place we stopped at was called Rose Orchard. It was paradise.
The kids fed the animals there: pigs, goats, and even a puffy chicken. How I wish I had managed to take a picture of that puffy chicken so you could see it too ;)
We ventured in the orchard to pick peaches and blueberries.
When we had enough, we came back to the big barn building and had a quick lunch there....mostly made out of homemade ice cream :)
Like I said - it was really heaven on Earth.
