Back to school
Just to photo school though :) My friend Brittany and I decided to dive in and take a class together that will hopefully help us a lot....So far the class has been super fun and interesting -and cheap on top of this, so if you are in NY and wanna take a class, I highly recommand Photo Manhattan. But stay tuned for the results of the class in a few weeks! PS: Expect to see a lot more pics in B&W since that's all I am supposed to do during the training.
A line of clueless people :D And we don't care :)

Big Beer Mountain
I mean, Big Bear Mountain - Oooppps a little lapsus :) We spent last weekend in Pennsylvania with our friend Alex and Brian. And it was FREEZING cold! We watched the temperature go down and down on our way from New York...and when we arrived at the cabin, it was -7 degrees Fahrenheits (-22 degrees celcium!)!!!!!! Hellllooowwwwww did we take a wrong turn and ended up in Antartica??
But our oh-so-lovely boyscout Brian us a lovely fire in the fireplace in uhm-uhm, no time with the lovely logs that our lumberjack troels cut out:D Oh you should have seen the smile on his face while he was carrying that wood around!
No skiing for me of course (so can't wait for next year), but I took pics and painted and chilled far from NY, and the other guys enjoyed snowboarding most of the weekend with all the fresh powder we got that weekend. And add to that our now infamous games of Cranium. Oh boy so much fun:D See you next year Big Bear!
At last......
I feel so lucky to have witness this day. It really could not come too soon.
"On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics."
NOw, time to get to work, Barack. And us with you.

Dreaming of white and blue
Another beautiful winter day by Esrum Sø. I would have stayed there forever if my camera hadn't run out of battery. It snowed on and off today, and the light was the most beautiful, ever changing between the snow showers.
Swirling around like a little girl :)
Today Hanne made me try a beautiful family dress that I might be able to wear around the wedding and other fancy occasions. h I was swirling around like a little girl :) Hence the reason why the pics below are so blurry. I love it!

Celebrating the New Year, Danish Style!
2008 has been a very "interesting" year, for the good and the not so good, so here is to 2009 and what it will bring along! Celebrating New Year's Eve in Danemark was awesome. A few of the Danish traditions I thought you might want to know about:
- No public fireworks. Instead, EVERYBODY buys fireworks that they launch in the backyard. You end up with a sky lit up with the explosions, wherever you are. Really great!
- The hat tradition: don't ask me why, but you HAVE to wear a silly hat wherever you celbrate the New Year.
- Jumping into the New Year: litteraly, Danish people do that :) A few seconds before midnight we all got up on a chair, couch or whatever we could find, and jump down at midnight!
- Tradtional Danish songs: played by the national choir at midnight and sung like a karaoke by every Dane. Ohhhhhh my ears!
Here is a pic of Troels and I before we went out :) HEhe hopefully I can soon get one of the videos of the night so you can see the wonderful dancers we had that night!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
