Love is in the air :)

Time to practice what I learned during my photo class! And what best but to find some random strangers on Craigslist for that? Both of these couples were looking for a photograph to take their engagement pictures, so here comes Super Zaudrey to the rescue :)

The first session with Andrea & Craig was definitely hard - it was the first really nice day of Spring and Central Park was PACKED with people. Probably not the best location for a shot that day, but I tried to make it work. The shot with Andrea & Michael was much more relaxed. We had such a blast....and guess what, they got me pistaccio gelato to thank me! hahaha that sounds like a deal to me :D

I started building a collection of pictures - I still need to redesign the page, but at least you can go and take a look at what I have been up to: http://www.audreysmit.com

I am hygging, you are hygging, we are all hygging!

One of the most important word in Danish = hygge. That means hanging out, chilling with the people you love, enjoying their company. Such a cool word that really discribes the Danish culture, love it. So, we few pictures of us "hygging" in New York City :)

Dear Sun

Dear Sun,
Thank you so much for visiting us last Sunday. I love to spend time with you in Central Park, it is always SO good to have you around....I just wished you'd stayed longer, you know? I mean, I don't mean to be pushy or anything, but why are you always in such a hurry to leave us?
Don't be a stranger, Sun!
Love always,
TheFrenchImport

Fuerza Bruta!

Another surprise for my birthday: Troels took me to this AMAZING show called "Fuerza Bruta". The whole thing was happening within the audience and we had to move around as the show evolved. From dancers performing in water and other flying in the air, to the beat of the music and all the people sreaming with joy.....it was just a HIT. Tickets are a bit on the pricier side, but it was definitely one of the coolest things I have seen in New York city!

Hurra Hurra Hurra!

Saturday was SO much fun :) Troels, Asbjorn and Ditte woke me up with the traditional Danish birthday song ("Med dejlig chokolade og kager til" being the only part I know really...go figure....oh, that and the "hurra hurra hurra" part!). Then off to eggs, English muffins and chocolate eggs I was :D Troels fixed breakfast for my birthday and it was oh-so-delicious. And see all those presents????? MY PRECIOUS. Mwahahahahahahahahah :D

On a sunny bright day

The sun is finally peaking out - and who know how long it's going to stay, so we jumped in the subway and went up to Central Park to throw the football & walk around the park - they were having a show with the seals in the zoo at Central Park. SUCH a nice time!

At the central park zoo

Troels looking at the seals....love the smile :)

Nice jazz band playing in Central Park

up up up we go!

Last Tuesday night we went rock-climbing at Chelsea Piers - and had the best time. The wall is sick there. There is a part where people climbink are like, on the ceiling! THey looked like tiny spiders going around. I stayed on the wall at 90 degrees, thank you very much. Hehe my first time, and Ranu's (one of Troels' clients), but we didn't do too bad at all!

Hoppadihop!

Nice weather this afternoon, finally! We went out to 20th street and 2nd avenue to play basketball with Brittany, Andrew and some of their friends. A great oppotunity for me to pratice taking action shot -not my strongest point!

And then, to a "quick" burget at Shake Shack - I say quick, because it took us longer to be in the line to get the burger than to actually eat it. Ha! But it was oh-so-delicious!

The clock is ticking :)

So the other bit thing that's been keeping me very busy these day: planning the wedding! Troels LOVED cutting and gluing these lovely lovely invitations hehehe - if anybody has an extra craft project, he volunteers! Oh, and our wedding website is ready too :) So go check it out! Go go go. We're getting super excited to partying with you all this summer, oh yeah!

oh, and look at the lovely people down here. I am sure most of you are going to recognize the smiling faces: they are our bridesmaids and groomsmen for the wedding.....they are in charge of keeping Troels and me sane that day :D Good luck with that!

Cranium night superstars

If you guys have never tried this game called cranium, go go now! One of the funniest games out there really. We had some friends come over for Troels' famous "pasta throw" - yeah we really can't call it lasagna anymore :D We had a blast....except for when I fell off my chair, a glass of wine in my hand -the chair slipped from under me I swear!-....and 1/2 hour later I fell in the stairs. Clumsy, me????

To the over side of the pond!

That being Brooklyn! We decided to take the Ferry to Ikea, it was WINDY but so nice to feel the wind on our faces, finally out of the city! I really need a break from it sometime. Went to have breakfast at a chill place with a view on the harbor and the statue of Liverty. So nice!

Danish Invasion 2!

Oh yes! You can NEVER have too many Danes around :) Two days after Troels' family left, our friends Rasmus & Line arrived with their oh-so-adorable-blondie-cutie baby named Mads (needs a list of silly danish names for your babies, anybody? Pam and Matt? Chouchou and Audrey? We got PLENTY! :D).

So nice to have everybody around, a lot of chilling out, taking walks with the baby -how I miss having little ones around! Of course the nights were also plenty of fun since Mads was teething :D mmm yeah that was fun!
