There is NO Arizona

...as the song would say. Or at least not the way I remembered it in a month of May!!! Troels and I got there late last Tuesday night (after avoiding a few gigantic elks on the way - welcome home :))....to wake up in the morning finding out that Flagstaff had all been snowed over that Monday....that was, of course, after I'd decided that I was in Arizona and that it was time to wear a dress no matter what. Haa silly silly Frenchie :D We didn't notice the snow at first, because it had mostly melted on the south side of town - where the Foremans live. But my oh my! The north side. hehe. Fun time dancing around in the snow in a sun dress :)

Lively life

Every time I come back to New York (or is it, leave Ireland?), I feel this rush of fresh air getting into me, like there is more life in my body. Such a wonderful sensation, gives me a high every time and I really relaly don't want to see it stop anytime soon.

A few days in NYC before heading to Arizona, filling up the tiny appartment with oh-so-wonderful-Swedish furniture (let's not be biased and name a brand here :D) with Troels and going to our favorite Italian place, us hanging out with Will and Kate on Sunday night (SUCH a good time - wished you guys came to visit from Seattle more often!), and spending the afternoon running around in the sun with silly Ann. Ohh NYC (and me!) will certainly miss you my dear Ann:)

Wish I had some pics of all that, but instead I wanted to share of Ann's artwork. I've always wanted to make a post about it but never found the occosion...so here we are. Hope you'll enjoy her stuff just about as much as I do. She just makes me want to be artsie and creative all over again ;)

And while I am at it - here is Kate's blog. Have always loved the way she writes - Kate, really you should write some books :)If you know her, you'll probably have a ball ready this. And if you don't know ...well, perfect opportunity to do just that!

A fake running hamster in a ball!!!

....yep, you heard right, that's my latest birthday present :) From my brother - he is a big fan of the "better late than later" concept - which I believe was developped in my own family :) :) My bro said "yeah, you are lonely in Dublin and you needed a pet - but since you're gone all the time to take care of a real one..." :D hahaha, bless my brother, he is the KING of useless presents, and god knows he is proud of it :D Go go go you!

Spring!

Spring is here, and I liiiiiiike :) Finally, after months and months of rain in Ireland, it is SO nice to feel the sun on my face! Given the state of my knee (wish me luck for the MRI on Tuesday :S), I am doing a lot of hanging out under the tree in the backyard - and I am not going to complain. hehe put my feet up in the air, a good book and all my drawing stuff next to me. Of course, I wish I'd been able to be in London this weekend to hang out with Valerie and Celine....hope they had fun today with Michou!! xoxo les filles :) Ce n'est que partie remise :):):)

Living Tom Hanks life

...well, at least, the one he had in the movie Terminal :) My flight from NYC to Dublin last night was oversold, and Audrey got her little butt nicely kicked out of the plane she was supposed to take - haha, love it when they tell you you are "volunteering" to stay behind. they put me in a hotel, but without internet connection = Audrey in the Airport lounge from 6am to 6 pm today. Ohhhhh loving it. Well, at least I got a nice flight voucher with it :)

Long Island to Connecticut

Boat sick

a rough ride. none of us thought we'd make it, to be honest :D hehehe

Long Island

Last weekend we all took a trip to long Island and Connecticut. Beautiful but SO freezing :D Guess the Hamptons in March wasn't the best idea in the world :):):) Still tons of fun, but would love to see the place in the summer. We saw some of the most ridiculously beautiful houses ever, right on the beach too - tennis courts, helicopter landing area...well, our Best Western wasn't bad either :D

Hanne and Steffen visiting

This week, we had Troel's parents visting in NYC. Oh the fun of 4 people living t ogether in a 1-bedroom Manhattan appartment :D Some very fun time out together, and can't quite honestly get enough of Hanne's now famous quotes - hehehe my stomach still hurst from laughing :D.
*"Do you want someEarly Grey tea?"
*"Let's go YouTubing down the mountain!"
*"I need a foot rubber"
Just kidding, Hanne :)

St Patrick's day.....in NYC??!

Yes, people, I know....I have the tendency to do things a little backwards :D heheh so the one year that I am living in Ireland, I actually find the way to be in New York and celebrate St Patrick's day here :D Running down the parade with Saumya was way fun though hehehe oh silly silly glasses.

Wickloooooooooowwwww :D

Planned last minute, a little "movie weekend" in Wicklow (a bit south of Dublin) with some friends - who rented a couple of cabins down there. hehehe oh the joys of spending two days in the same room with...16 people, most of which whom you don't know:D

And you can imagine how easy it was to pick a movie! My favortie part, was deciding at 1:30 am last night if we should watch Cinema Paradiso, or maybe this other weird movie, or maybe even something else...1/2 hour to finally go back to our first choice, Cinema Pardisio :) Was a ton of fun though. We watch a lot of movie (didn't count how many), but they were if I recall corretly: North By Northwest, After Sunset, Before Sunrise, Go!, Casablanca, Cinema Paradisio (SUCH a wonderful movie!), Dream Girls, Monsters Co. & Dawn of the Dead. Quite a list! The train ride down was absolutely gorgeous - and the cabin were also in a beautiful location so we had a bit of time to walk around between two rain showers :) well, almost.....but that's another story :D

View from the train oon the way down to Wicklow
Wicklow mountains

Preparing breakfast this morning - we had a bit of a "food war" going on between our cabin and the cabin of the rest of the group :D Hehe. One Jar of Nutella for two house. Was bound to be. Kids :D And ....a few of us tried to be brave in the freezing temperature hehehe. What we call a "refreshing" breakfast! Spring being almost here, I guess we were trying to send positive thoughts to make it come faster :D
