NZ fun for Bibi & Clo

Last Saturday we said bye bye to our friends Bibi & Clo. A nice drive to Pleumeur-Bodou, and lots of laughter once I got there. A few more days and they will be on there way to New Zealand, where they are planning to stay for a year.....or more! Seems like we just didn't have enough markers, disney stickers, or Haribo candy that night! What a blast :)

The Visa Slaughterhouse

a.k.a the American Consulate in Paris. After an appointment at 11am, 4 hours of waiting and wondering at the consulate among 150 other people waiting for the same thing, a lunch made of a Twix bar and a bag gummy Haribo smurfs, a missed train back to Brittany and 45...no 46 seconds talking with a consulate agent (oh yeah all that)...I GOT MY VISA!!!! Guess it was worth all that :) Man, what an experience though!

Peace and Love

Literally, peace and love. Soazic and baby Lea.

A ray of Sunshine

Yes, first ray of sunshine this week (is it summer in France, really???) and we jumped in the car and walk around the lakes in Chatillon that my dad just loves . So lovely to have Soazic stay with me and her sisters Gwen and Orlane and baby niece Lea to join us! Thanks girls :)

En rigtig god dag ;)

Gammel Dansk, for a rigtig good start!
Thanks for the engagement flowers!
Sunny sunny day out :)

Engaged!

So Troels spent some time on one knee....while I was making up my mind :) And of course I said YES without a moment of hesitation. We are engaged and will be having our wedding ceremony in France next summer! So here is to happiness! We are jumping and dancing around in New York, so why don't you just open a bottle and join us from wherever you are? :)

Happy Happy lovely lovely day

:)

The day out strolling in Copenhaguen, a diner with Troels' family in the backyard and an evening out late on the lake, watching the lights blinking in the distance. Oh, and did I mention more icecream?? :)

One of the sweetest day I have ever had. I will never forget it.

Leila, prends soin de nous, petit ange, d'ou tu nous regardes.

Falling all over again

A lake is the landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature.
~Henry David Thoreau

It had been a long time since I last felt a true, deep instant connection to a place. When Hanne took me down the lake, to Esrum Soe, to have some tea last Thursday, I was just stunned by the beauty of this place. Even when the weather got rocky and the water was dark, I could only stay amased. And now I have even more reason to have my heart tied to this place forever.

Destination: Icecream Kingdom

Captain Troels and his dD sailed est accross Esrum Soe from some loveliest icecream. My man worked hard hard hard to get us to the other side of the lake, and it was worth it! I had never seen any ice cream that big. Even I could not finish it, can you imagine, me, not finishing something that good and that sweet?!
Happy smile as we are leaving
Mutiny on board, Troels first tried to throw dD in the water before asking the Gods for help. They answered, but too late....bwahahahahahah
yaaaaaaay we are there!
mmmmmmm. No comment.

Diving in Sweden

Blue and yellow everywhere and people talking Danish a bit funny, this is how I shall remember Sweden for now. Oh, and also the pink and yellow starfish, crabs, jelly fish and all that we saw under the water :) Lovely day out if it wasn't for the bees who tried to steal our lunch!

Happy Birthday, Happy Diving!

Ooooh ooohhh someone is getting closer and closer to being 30! :) Happy birthday my T! This called for great celebration, and after the morning singing and lovely breakfast with the family, even the oh-so-wonderful Danish weather didn't stop us from going diving with T's brother, Kaare.

And the sky opens up for The God Kaare. Smartass. :)
Troels trying to push me in the water. I could barely roll over the boat since he put so much weight in my BCD!

The Bride's Waltz

Too bad the kiss part is missing :) At the end, the husband also gets carried away and gets the end of his socks cut. Another Danish tradition. "Why?" I asked Troels' grand-pa? "Who knows" he said. Lovely silly traditions :)

Hanne and Steffen's Silver wedding party

Party boys :) Oh all the wine that night!
